That quote was on his isolette in the NICU.
9.5 years ago.
His Aunt Adah put it there one day, and I would see it ever day.
He hasn't.
He's thrown fits that make this mama blush. He has *clearly* stated his displeasure when things are not *exactly* as he likes them (u n d e r s t a t e m e n t).
But what he hasn't done is give up.
Never, ever, ever.
I am fiercely proud.
Oh how a 9 year old can put a 31 year old and her lazy tendencies to shame…
He counts down his stretches and his time on the treadmill.
He knows exactly how long it will be required for him to do each tough thing, and so he just counts through it.
He is certainly not complaint free.
But he does it.
Each balance aiding exercize, stretching session, and strengthening task is building him
physically,
mentally,
and emotionally.
And sometimes we even get a few smiles in the process.
{Love you so much buddy}

An inspiration to us all! :)
That's one awesomely determined little guy!!!
Sometimes we all have to kick and scream and complain to get through life's hurdles and I'm certain our Father in Heaven cringes from time to time. But giving up? No, never ever give up. Finish strong, finish strong. Sweet post, thanks for sharing girl. You should be so proud!
