steps of faith

To all of our prayer warriors who helped hold us up while we walked through the valley of the shadow. To those who rejoiced with us when we finally had the assurance that our sweet K would be coming home from the NICU. In those ninety six days there were so many where we wondered if we would ever have the joy of bringing our baby home. To those who stood with us as we processed the doctors predictions for our child: "He may never speak, he may never recognize you, he may never breath independent of a ventilator, he will very likely never stand, or walk"... To those who never believed it for a second and had enough faith for all of us. Watch this

He did this last night. This is a God thing. I can't watch this with out getting tears in my eyes. Remember how it felt when you witnessed your child take his or her first steps? I've waited years for this. :) K, you never give up. You love to keep us guessing. You think outside of the box (Your recent preference to watch your DVD's in french highlights that). Your smile lights up a room. We are very proud of you. You were a fighter from the beginning. Keep going buddy, at your own pace, in your own way.
