Embracing age 3

It's no secret that I have never been a big fan of age 3.

I can't lie - it's not my favorite.

Not sayin' I don't love the three year old.

Just some of the characteristics of this particular age.

That being said, there is a certain three year old in my life right now whose cuteness is nearly off the charts.

He is definitely at the age where his primary goal often seems to be

toeing the line

whining incessantly

and

frustrating this mommy.

And yet...

His sensitive heart amazes me.

His desire to learn and his intelligence bring a smile to my face.

His gentleness with others is a gift.

Thank you for giving me a moment to focus on my love for Mr. Noe.

We have been given the opportunity of much time together these days as the older two spend their time learning at school.

I don't ever want to wish the days away and not take time to acknowledge this special season.

Even if it does involve age three. *smile*

Three IS tough! Which I think is why God made them so cute - to make up for it a little. :)

Oh you have one of those frusterating yet heartmelting three year olds too? I thought I was THE ONLY ONE! :) (He is still precious though I must say!)

Precious pictures. I am trying hard to embrace "three". I tell you this week it has been REALLY hard.

He has such a sweet face!

So is three worse than two? Because the toeing the line and the whining have already started at our house! I'll admit I haven't been embracing it so much this week...

I thought it was supposed to be the "terrible twos" and the "terrific threes".

I must admit I'm a little nervous about the ages 2 and 3...and the fact that one day soon I'll have one of each at the same time! Those pictures are so sweet...and so is your little boy! Let's have a playdate soon :)

my thoughts exactly on threes!

never heard of "terrific threes"

i think now it is "terrible twos" and "threatening threes"! that is how it has been at our house anyways.

i praise the lord for every day that jade gets closer to the "fantastic fours"!

Three IS hard. Asher is there, too. It's a whole new world and boy do I love him but boy do I not love some of his behavior right now.

That boy of yours is so stinking cute.

I agree! Three is definitely hard and full of trials. Way worse than two. It's just a good thing they are still so cute at that age! :)
