My favorite room in the house

For all the waiting, and putting our room on the back burner while we did other projects through out the house (Well, and had babies and stuff...), and not really loving our room so much as we waited. {in all it's dingy lavender and very little storage space glory}. Wow was it ever worth it. I have my walk in closet (Which is pretty hard to get a picture of) See in the above pictures of the "Before" - where Dave is kneeling down and pulling off wall board? - Yep, that's right where my clothes are hanging now. :) How fun is that?? And I just added a beautiful new comforter set! I'm so happy about this! I have had my eye on it for awhile, but I am cheap. So I would look at it on line, I would smile, and then look for cheaper ones. I'd always come back to this one for a little peak though - because really, it looks like some one spilled flowers on it. And that just makes me happy. And I love red. Well..... it just so happened that this comforter was on display at the store, and then bagged up and thrown in the clearance aisle. AND - the price was slashed over 50% off. I asked, and there was nothing wrong with it - plus they said they steam cleaned it before they put it in the bag. I may have had some heart palpitations. And then I may have called my mother in law, who had previously asked me what I wanted for my birthday. It is now a part of our "new" room. There are still a few things that I want to put up on the walls, but other than that our bedroom is pretty complete. Ahh yes, good good things come to those who wait. And I couldn't be more pleased!

That is the most beautiful, most unique comforter I've ever seen - I positively love the warm rich colors. Stunning. Now I'm inspired to go make a blog design based on these colors. :)

How are you??? I need to call you one of these days...but I always wonder if it's a good time as I imagine you are always busy! :)

I am so happy to see your new room.... and the comforter!!!! OOH! So lovely.
We are soon to be finishing the basement in our new home. :) It is completely unfinished. There will be a large family room a bedroom (making 5 total! UGH!) a bathroom and we will finish the laundry room....... which drives me a little crazy right now. All cement walls and floor, and open floor joists over head.
