A few profound realizations

1) God has put some incredibly special people in my life

Kim, Ruth, Amy

Lynne 2) The encouragement of friends is an amazing and priceless blessing. A blessing that I need and cherish. Becky

3) I am extraordinarily white

Sara, Becky, Me, Michelle, Karen

4) My obsessive type love for cheesecake, and resulting consumption, tends to induce a compulsion to do crunches on the spot

Michelle and I

You all must be so glad you stopped over here today. Good quality reading coming your way from my little corner of the internet!

So, maybe profound turned to mindless insignificant around #3, but perhaps in my world skin tone and cheesecake are some what profound (and maybe - just maybe, I am a touch too excited that I learned how to do the oh-so-fun strike through a word trick and will make up sentences and excuses to do so...).

Um...You will come back won't you?

Good friends AND cheesecake: it doesn't get much better than that.

LOL ... well, you kept me reading. :o) Maybe my friends and I should start doing crunches. Ha. Have a great day.

How could we not come back?!? You posted pictures of yourself doing crunches!

BTW we got our tree at Lowes too. So un-romantic, but the price was right. So far so it looks good. But yesterday as we decorated I had the profound realization that my tree is covered in Barbie, Dora, Veggie Tales, and Dr. Susse Characters. Some day I am going to have a formal tree that is pretty and covered in beautiful matching bulbs and ribbon. You know right next to the spiral oak staircase and vases of Christmas roses!

Don't worry; I have the whitest skin among all my friends. ;) I hate taking pictures at night because I am such a contrast!

I found out how to do the little strike through thing too. Unfortunately, I'm not that good at coming up with witty things to say that I can strike through. I'll have to think very, very hard for that.

Good friends are a great blessing! I look very white in pictures too and I love cheesecake! Come on over - I'm actually making one tonight for a party tomorrow.

You are so cute! Did you mean paste-y. We call skin paste-y here. I like to say I'm protecting my skin from sun damage, but yeah, I'm paste-y too! See when you say white, I think Elaine from Seinfled dancing or Steve Martin in Bringing Down the House. I have "mixed" nieces and a nephew. My Brother in-law is black. Which gives us endless "black and white" jokes. See I always start things with "You know I'm white..." cause we do things different...I HOPE I'm NOT sounding racist, it's NOT like that with Thomas. Anyway, he was over and his phone rang, ringtone, hiphop. And I said "Thomas, I think your phone might me ringing, I'm hearing something odd for our home..." He laughed and said " Yeha, not like hiphop is played over here. It's more country." The funny thing is Roo, my son, has this car that plays this hipptyhop music and he has started "break dancing" which DELIGHTS Thomas, because he says he's going to show Roo how to wear his pants! Oh geez! There is NOTHING like having a colorful family!:) And I wouldn't change it for the world!
Your evening looked wonderful, except the sit-ups. BLECK! What game was it that you were playing? Love the Lamby slippers!

For a second there, I thought I was the only one in the world who would get on the floor after a good splurge and try to make myself feel better about it through crunches lol

I think it's important to take joy in the little things, especially friendships, poking fun at ourselves, and cheesecake.

By the way, did you learn the strike-through from MckMama. I saw her tutorial on her blog this week. I wonder how many people all over the world are striking through their words this week, just like you :-)

HI!
Just stopped by to check out your blog! I am best of friends with Dani at 'Give me a second to think about it". I love the strike through (have to learn that one) and share your affinity for run on sentences!
Grace and Peace,
Dana
