14 reasons why I could not stay grumpy even if I wanted to

  1. I have some amazing friends
  2. I talked to several friends yesterday, one who wasn't even aware of the grumpy state of mind I was struggling with, who just lifted my spirits immeasurably. Oh - and this little bloggy award was sent my way from Mrs. Marvelously talented: Mama Belle herself~
  3. Turns out I am not the only one to struggle with discouragement! Who knew?
  4. Target
  5. Eating Bob Evans comfort food with a friend at 8:30 pm
  6. Hurting a deer, killing our van and being totally okay. In my defense the deer hit me, I did not hit the deer. The point of impact is my evidence. Wow, he was a big beautiful buck! There are antler scratches on our hood. If the impact was just a wee bit further back those large antlers would've likely been through my window.
  7. Laughter. There just happened to be a watermelon in the passenger seat of the van when I had my little altercation with Bambi's dad. If you would have seen the inside of the van over there after the impact you would have had you a good laugh too. :) Could've been a seat belt service announcement for produce...
  8. A really nice husband who did not even say one belittling word about said van
  9. Insurance - it is a good thing. We'll find out later today how good. :)
  10. Have I mentioned God's gift of friends to me? Yes, I think I have, but it is worth a few mentions. I'm blessed people! Blessed. (Speaking of friends - Happy Birthday Chelle!! I am truly honored to know you)
  11. Amazing vibrant colors out my window
  12. Hot chocolate
  13. An almost 22 month old who can't seem to stop saying "I wuv you" in this adorable loud screechy voice. I need to capture that on video and share it with y'all!
  14. God's word, which is a treasure box waiting to encourage my heart. I'm headed there right now.

Hot chocolate is way on top of my list, too!

Sorry about the van! I've had a deer run into me, too, so I know where the fault lies - fortunately I didn't have a watermelon in the car!

And it seems you know where to go when the grumpies set in - good for you! I sometimes have such trouble getting there, cuz I just enjoy the party a little too much.

Thank you so much, you precious lady for the sweet birthday greetings...
But what a day you had...glad you are finding reasons to smile...have you ever heard that saying that goes..." life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it? "
That's what I was thinking when I was reading the van+deer+watermelon story...uff dah!!! so glad you were unhurt by it all.
And I cannot wait to hear Noe saying his sweet little line on video.
Thank you for blessing my life so dearly, with your writing and your friendship.

I love you.

Glad you are feeling better.
So sorry about Bambi's dad though.

Aw ... that list made me happy too, even about the deer. Did you get to keep any of the deer meat? That's what they do down here.

And YOU are one of the reasons I cannot seem to get grumpy! I get overwhelmed all of the time and perhaps a bit grumpy, but all I have to do, is find a post by one of you precious ladies and wahla....grumpy no more!
Loves to you and sooo sooo sooo happy that YOU are happy!!!

Glad you're ok. I'm also glad you have beautiful colors outside your window. The leaves around here are turning straight to brown and dropping like a constant snowstorm this year. :( I miss the color!

I came for a blog walk to find cheer and it seems we all have a bit of a grumpy bug. So sorry for you that you hit the deer and for the damage to your car. Funny thing though, when we go for walks looking for deer to feed them, my Hailey says "deer deer." It's painfully adorable.
