Sympathy does wonders...

You are all just too sweet! Even if it was begged for, the sympathy I received was comforting and so kind. :) Just wanted to post real quick to let you all know that today I felt wonderful. Ever notice how after you feel really pathetically ill your healthy self feels better than it did previous to the yuckyness? The pain is gone and I am able to eat and drink again. That, my friends, is a wonderful thing! I am still not functioning on full strength and battled a throbbing head ache today, but my relief at feeling so much better than I did during the weekend is enough to make it all okay. :) I would still really appreciate prayer as we plan to travel about 10 hours Friday afternoon. As relieved as I am over the present feelings of betterment, I was warned that there is more to come. Dread... ( Use your best granny voice for this part)"I am going to see a urologist on Thursday and hopefully learn causes and preventions". Having these issues makes me feel so old! :) I'm 27 for goodness sakes! Thanks again for all of the prayers and well wishes! You guys are the best!

I have missed reading your blog, I did a little catching up. The pictures atthe bottom of the kids and the carasoul are great. I am so sorry you had to go through the whole kidney stone ordeal, I hear it is very painful, but glad you are feeling much better. I still thought you looked great even if you were sick.

I have to be careful with all the little ears around here. I was telling Don about your "ordeal", and finished with, "She is on drugs now, so she feels some better". "AUNT WENDI IS ON DRUGS?!!!!" was the united chorus from our 5. Opps!

Wendi,

I'm only 20 years older than you and had my first trip to the Urologist about 2 months ago. I was scared to death but to be quite honest...it was ok. The most uncomfortable part is the same as that of going to the OB/GYN...you feel somewhat like "can someone please cover me up for pete's sake". But there was not a lot of pain. I had myself all worked up when I went in and when I came out I was ok. They did give me some little blue pills that made me tinkle blue for days...this delighted my little nephew that is trying to be potty trained!!

I am praying for you...may the Lord lead you to the right doctor...may the doctor be kind and gentle and compassionate and may his staff receive you well. And may your body be in a constant state of "being made whole" by the Great Healer.

God bless you!

Oh, good...I was worried about you! I know exactly what you mean about how extra-good it feels to be healthy after being so sick...makes you appreciate it so much more.

Wow, 10 hours...you are brave. :) I know ya'll will have an awesome time, though.

Thank you so much for offering to help me with my page. I may need it! I know nothing about HTML or design, but I desperately want a change. I am not very creative though, and so am not sure what I want...that might be a problem. :)

Preparing for a trip is hard work even when you're feeling 100%. Good luck to you! I have faith in your husband and kids. They'll take it easy on you this week and pitch in to make things go smoothly. Thinking of you!

Bless your heart. I am so sorry. I hear that passing a Kidney stone is more painful than natural childbirth. You actually did not look bad in that picture. I'll be praying for you. I cannot believe you are only 27---you look young, but I was married for 2 years when I was 27 and so not wise like you are now

I am so sorry about your illness. I was having kidney pain last year (29) and ended up having a CT. I am full of kidney stones. I haven't passed any yet but I have heard it is the WORST pain. Hopefully I won't ever experience it, though not likely.

Glad you are on the upswing! Lots of prayers and well wishes comin' at ya!
