Dreaming

I can't help but wonder... and dream What will this baby look like? What new personality will this baby bring to our family? Laid back and mellow? Strong willed and stubborn? Will this one sleep through the night at 2 months like Noe... or wake up every 3 hours for 10 1/2 months like Jay? And oh the dreaming... Soft skin Those baby coos Late night cuddling Seeing all of the boys be big brothers I'm so ready.... And so not I can't wait to experience all of the precious things that are coming our way But who is ever really "ready"? It's another big change And until we are in the middle of it, we can not anticipate how each of us will be affected I know our lives will change in so many ways As we grow... In so many ways Oh and we really, really wonder... A son or a daughter? Three weeks till our ultra sound June 9th. So much we don't know yet, increasing the anticipation A few things we do know I do know that our baby hears us Is about 4 1/2 inches long and almost 3 ounces Has a heart rate of 150 Seems to like ice cream - as the only time I feel movement is after I have eaten ice cream Is very active (after the ice cream) We can hardly wait! And yet we treasure the moments now. Moments of being a family of 5. Moments of independence and flexibility Spontaneity Sleeping...

I wonder a lot of these things, too, Wendi.....about Josiah's little personality and the wonderful ways our life will change when he is home.

Beautiful post! Don't forget to e-mail me once you know if it's a boy or a girl....you have another prize to pick out!! :-)

Stop making me want to be pregnant!!!

Kidding of course. It's OK, I'll want to be pregnant anyway.

I love the mystery and anticipation, such a beautiful thing. And OH so hard to wait!

oh how i needed to read this this morning...to remind myself of all the wondering and dreaming...as opposed to the being overwhelmed by the two we already have and feeling like i'm going crazy! :)

even though we don't find out gender i can never wait to hear what others are having...and am SO excited to hear after your ultrasound!

and finally...lets toss out and look at some dates for meeting in real life! :)

Rachel and I were just talking about you and wondering if a little girl or boy will be added to your family :) Can't wait to hear!!!

Oh, and if your baby likes ice cream so much, you should for sure keep eating it, a lot...!

I would like to agree with Heather@EO. Stop making me want to have another baby. (I say want another, cause pregnancy wasn't kind to me...)
Are we going to get to know too?
I just get gitty thinking about it.
I never could wait to find out. I can't keep secrets like that well, I mean come on it's ALL you think about, I would burst.
Ice cream huh?
Mine was Crunch Berry cereal.

So I've been of bloggy commission for about a week, and this is the type of beautiful, lyrical, heartfelt posts from you that I've missed by not stopping by! You totally took me back to all those wonderful, new feelings I had when I was pregnant with Savannah. The not knowing, the eagerness, feeling like your ready and feeling like your not all at the same time.

June 9! Oh, I will be dying on that day, wondering what this precious one is going to be! I may have to coerce you into giving me a call afterwards just to put me out of my misery. :)

YEA!! I am so excited for you! I can't wait to find out if it's a girl or boy!

(BTW, for kicks and giggles, my word verification is "Nutra." Like in, "Nutra rat," which, of course, I only get because I'm from down south, haha!)
